The Smoke that Never Cleared by Cooper
There was a group of boys who walked home everyday. They always made it back safely, but this week was different because there was a thick smoke that never seemed to clear. Everyday a boy was injured from walking through. Today one of them broke their leg when riding a bike through the smoke. The next day the smoke was getting thinner, as the smoke cleared the boys saw what was injuring them. There were twigs and a tree that was falling apart. The next day the boys were happy that the smoke was gone and no more accidents.
